By "Adopting a Pastor" your monthly financial support will allow us to join together as the global body of Christ to support those who really need our partnership as the work of Christ goes forward in mighty ways!

For only $50 - $80 /month you will:
- Participate in their ministry as they establish vibrant, healthy churches
- Provide food and the essentials of life for a Pastor and his/her family
- Support the families of Pastors imprisoned and tortured for the Gospel
- Provide study resources and leadership training
- Participate in the fulfilling of the Great Commission
- Join with them for the 2-3 year period it takes to establish a strong church
When you Adopt-A-Pastor:
- Connect with them as you receive a welcome kit including their profile and picture
- Partner with them daily in prayer
- Receive a description of the region they work in
- Receive quarterly updates to get an 'on the ground’ report of how your support is helping, and bless them in their work for the Gospel
How do I get started?
- When you click on the Adopt-A-Pastor link, you will have the choice to sponsor a Pastor from either Cuba ($50/mnth) or China ($80/mnth)
- Fill in the form and donation information to begin your sponsorship
- You will receive a Welcome Kit shortly thereafter with information related to the Pastor you will be partnering with
- Ongoing updates and information will be provided quarterly thereafter
- Generally, sponsorships are for a period of 2-3 years and we ask you to consider making that your commitment too
What if you faced arrest, imprisonment and torture for sharing your faith, for owning a Bible, or for going to church with your family? Because we live in a land blessed with religious freedom, these scenarios seem unthinkable! But they are a daily reality for believers in regions of the world where the gospel is not welcome.
As
we partner with churches around the world, we see the overwhelming
financial strain on the families of pastors who have been imprisoned.
While in prison, it is nearly impossible for the rest of the family to
provide for themselves. Often, the jailed pastor's spouse carries on
the ministry with no income. Pastors and church planters in prison have
often told us that while enduring prison is very difficult, even more
distressing is the worry over their families' survival. WorldServe has
established the "Adopt-A-Pastor" ministry, in part, to provide food, housing, and sometimes travel expenses
if the family must go underground. This fund also helps to care for the
pastors and church planters after they are released, as many require
medical attention and must recover from injuries sustained while in
prison (read Ping's Story ).
We ask for your support in helping those who are imprisoned, beaten,
and endure separation from their loved ones. These brothers and sisters
thank God for the loving prayers and financial support provided for
them and their families during this trial.
